Raffles Parents' Association: 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐HOSTING CHINESE NEW YEAR REUNION DINNER FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐 As Chinese New Year (CNY) is coming soon, the school would like to once again work in partnership with the RPA for our annual project – Hosting of Overseas Students of Chinese descent for the traditional Chinese New Year (CNY) eve reunion dinner which falls on 18 February 2015 (Wed). Parent volunteers are requested to host scholars of Chinese origin (mainly from China, Vietnam and Indonesia) and join their family CNY reunion dinner. Each parent volunteer and their family should be prepared to host one or more students. CNY is an auspicious occasion and this year may be the first time that participants are away from their own families. We hope that many RPA parents will open their hearts and their homes for this one night in a year and share how a typical Singapore family celebrates the Lunar New Year. Should any mixed race families also like to host the scholars, we will be happy to take up their offer, as long as they celebrate CNY. Families need only host the students for the CNY Reunion Dinner, i.e. on the evening of 18 February 2015 (Wed) and not overnight. In the event that some families wish to continue hosting the scholars (e.g. to accompany them visiting or on outings), they should still return them to the RI Boarding School at night and pick them up the next day.
